21 Days of Kindness

November 13 – December 3

Kindness is love in action. This powerful three-part teaching series explores kindness from a three-dimensional perspective – upward, inward and outward. We will address questions like “Is God kind?” and challenge followers of Jesus to see our neighbors not just as other people, but as God sees them.

Jesus said, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35)

Here at Warehouse Church we take this command very seriously and we are encouraging everyone to engage in an act of kindness daily. Would you join us in the 500 acts of kindness in 21 days challenge? We look forward to hearing stories of how simple acts of kindness can change the lives of others and you might even start to see a change in your own personal life as a result.

500 Acts of Kindness in 21 Days

Warehouse Church is a gathering of ordinary people that exist so that more people may experience transforming relationships through Jesus.  Over these 21 days we hope to create a kindness movement like no other to visibly show God’s kindess and grace to others.  Join us as we attempt to reach our goal of 500 random acts of kindness in just 21 days.  Let us know how you are doing by giving us a thumbs up for each act of kindness you do!

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12

WRITE DOWN SOMEONE’S BEST QUALITIES

Make someone’s day by sharing the best parts of who they are with them.

Try something new

Open your heart and mind to something new and see how it changes you.

START A PIGGY BANK FOR A CAUSE

Pick a cause, get a piggy bank, and start saving.

BE POLITE ON THE ROAD

It’s easy to get angry with other drivers.  Try being kind and let someone in front of you even if they don’t deserve it.

Send a care package

Spread happiness and kindness by sending someone far away some goodies.

LEAVE A GENEROUS TIP

Paying it forward never gets old.  You never know the difference $10 could make.

SHARE A CUP OF COFFEE

Buy or make someone their morning/afternoon coffee/tea/hot chocolate! A simple act that will most certainly make someone’s day.

SEND AN ENCOURAGING TEXT

A sweet and simple way to boost someone’s spirits is by sending good vibes their way.

BAKE SOMEONE A CAKE

Mmmmmmm…cake!

SAY I LOVE YOU!

Words matter.  Tell someone you haven’t told in a while, I love you!

GRAB AN ANGEL

Grab an angel off the angel tree and help a child in need.

PICK UP TRASH

Garbage isn’t meant for the streets.  Take a walk around town and pick up trash.

THANK SOMEONE

Write a thank you note to someone and let them know how much you appreciate them.

FOR THE BIRDS

Fill a birdhouse with seed for your home.  Not only will you bring more types of birds to your yard, but you’ll help the environment.

PAINT POSITIVE MESSAGES ON ROCKS

You rock! What better way to combine the spirit of Thanksgiving and kindness than the power of positivity.

LEAVE QUARTERS AT THE LAUNDROMAT

Doing laundry can be expensive.  Surprise someone and leave a cup of quarters next to a washer and dryer.

COMPLIMENT A PARENT

Parenthood can be overwhelming and sometimes the kind words of a stranger is all it takes to turn a mother or father’s day around.

VOLUNTEER WITH AN OUTREACH ORGANIZATION

Do good and maybe even make some new friends along the way.

SEND FLOWERS OR CHOCOLATES TO A FRIEND

A thoughtful “just because” gift is all it takes to brighten someone’s day.

SIGN UP TO GIVE BLOOD

It only takes an hour to donate blood but it’s a life-giving gift that will last a lifetime.

WHEEL IN YOUR NEIGHBOR’S TRASH CAN

It’s the neighborly thing to do after trash day.

FILL SOCIAL MEDIA WITH POSITIVE MESSAGES

Share a bible verse or positive story or uplifting song or tag a friend and show them how much you appreciate them.

SERVE TOGETHER

Get your small group together, identify someone in need, and lend a hand.

Went to Food City, it was extremely busy with only a be checkout lane opened at that time. I let two individual go before me, due to having less groceries. The man made sure to thank me when he was leaving. The lady not so much.

Called a dear, elderly friend that I went to church with years ago. She is now widowed, has mobility problems, she is in a wheelchair. She just talked and I listened, really listened. Too often we do not listen to others. We need to remember those that are confined to their homes. Just a normal conversation with someone is a blessing to them. Their worlds get really small when they are no longer mobile and able to get out like they once did.
